The root of our cause stems from working hard day in and day out to become something in life.

This constant struggle has forced us to stop caring about ourselves. In this battle of achieving greatness, we need something on our site that can keep us focused and energized. Lack of energy could also affect your everyday life. Making you lethargic and tired all the time. Therefore, the quality and quantity of food we consume have a major part in determining our energy levels throughout the day. Though all foods provide you with energy, some have essential vitamins and nutrients that could help you boost your energy levels. Fatty fish

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fat that your body requires to function properly. They play a key role in the development of your brain and cognitive functioning. Your body is incapable of producing these amino acids on their own. Therefore, you must incorporate them into your diet. Fish such as albacore tuna and salmon are rich in two key types of fatty acids Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). They can lower your depression levels and boost your mood. These amino acids are highly beneficial for your heart health, improving blood flow and circulation throughout the body.

Although Omega-3 fatty acids don’t have a proper dosage standard, experts recommend that you should consume 250 to 500 mg per day. Salmon contains almost 2,260 mg of DHA and EPA in 100 grams. Therefore, eating salmon twice a week would be sufficient. Administering an omega-3 supplement could also do the job.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are also referred to as “little miracle seeds”. They contain very few calories. They provide vital nutrients such as zinc, protein, B3, B1, fiber, protein, calcium, manganese, and antioxidants. Consuming them could exponentially increase your energy levels, give you healthier skin, help you decrease weight, and control your blood sugar levels. They also help alleviate your mood.

Adding chia seeds can make recipes more healthy. Try making chia seed pudding, it is highly beneficial in providing you with a long-lasting jolt of energy.

Dark Chocolate

When asked “what are the best foods to eat for energy?”, one of the first things to come to mind is dark chocolate. Chocolate contains compounds that are famous for boosting your energy and mood. Its sugar not only helps improve your mood but also gives you some much needed instant energy. Moreover, it can release a plethora of compounds that give the sensation of feeling good, like theobromine, N-acylethanolamine, and caffeine. N-acylethanolamine is similar chemically to cannabinoids and has been associated with improving moods. Dark chocolate has a large supply of health-promoting substances that help reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, improve brain health, all of which support help increase energy levels and improve mood

Try opting for dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate as it doesn’t contain sugar and fat. Also, stick to 1 or 2 small pieces as they tend to be high in calories.

Kratom

Kratom is a plant native to southeast Asia. Kratom’s leaves are great for treating health problems. They also improve energy levels and concentration. Like coffee, green tea also contains caffeine, which is excellent in increasing your energy levels. Furthermore, green tea contains an essential amino acid called L-theanine. L-theanine is beneficial for reducing symptoms of anxiety and stress. Thus, not only improving the user’s mood but also improving their attention span and memory. It is a super energy food.

L-theanine can also suppress the negative sides of caffeine, such as jitters and anxiety. Lastly, green tea is an excellent pre-workout drink, as it is great at decreasing fatigue by breaking down fat and releasing the hormone norepinephrine
